This is an image of the world famous Peachtree Road Race which is the largest 10k race in the world. It is held every July 4th in Atlanta, GA. This image was photographed from the top of hotel near the start of the race. This image is the end result of a darkroom technique combining color slide film with a high contrast black and white film to arrive at the final image.

I am a professional photographer and artist living in Marietta, Georgia. I was fortunate enough to get my first job in photography while still in high school back in1979. I was working for a weekly newspaper in my small hometown in Pennsylvania. From that point, I was hooked. I left for school in Rhode Island to study Commercial Photography with an emphasis on Black and White film and processing. From there I traveled south to Atlanta, Georgia to study Advertising Photography at the Portfolio Center. I worked for a company doing studio and location photography for 19 years all the while doing freelance advertising and editorial (magazine/book) assignments.
